School governors are being invited to an event which will look at their role in protecting children’s mental health.
Educator Solutions and Norfolk Governance Network are holding the free autumn conference - Wellbeing... Well governed - on Saturday, November 11 at Barnham Broom Hotel.
It will look at wellbeing, and what responsibilities governors have in making sure children’s mental health is safeguarded.
Norman Lamb, MP for north Norfolk, and Dr Bianca Finger-Berry, critical incident lead officer at Norfolk County Council, will speak at the event.
The bodies said: “Good mental health begins in childhood and 50pc of mental health problems are established by age 14.”
They said governors’ roles in this were highlighted by a government enquiry earlier this year.
Governors interested in attending the event, which runs from 9am to 1pm, can sign up by visiting http://bit.ly/2lGwzXU
