Youngsters from East Ruston Area Infant Primary School made the film called Our Magical Meadow, which includes their thoughts and drawings of the beauty spot.

Teacher Becca Barry said the film won a 'just a minute' category in the Back From the Brink awards, which called for films and images that raise awareness of wildlife and landscapes.

Ms Barry said the meadow was a valuable asset to the school. She said: "They go out every week, see the changing seasons. We've been out in the snow, tracking animal footprints, we've had campfires, den building, we've used tools and collected conkers.

"As a teacher, I have not encountered somewhere quite like the meadow before and it constantly fills me with joy to work there."

"They can safely climb trees, see pheasants, deer, slowworms and rabbits. In the summer, the butterflies just rise up in the air, it's a completely magical place for children to learn."
