Children at the Pilgrim Federation of primary schools in north Norfolk have a lot of activities to look forward to this year, including a live radio broadcast.
Youngsters at Blakeney, Hindringham, Kelling and Walsingham schools will be working throughout the year with the Sounding Coastal Change research project about environmental and social change in north Norfolk. This will culminate with the Year 6 children presenting a one-hour live radio broadcast in July.
The idea is to use sound, music and different kinds of listening to explore the ways in which the coast is changing.
The school's programme of activities also includes an art exhibition and concert, and a trip to How Hill. Meanwhile, the friends of the schools will again be organising the firework night at Hindringham School, which pays for the children to attend a quality pantomime in the spring. The federation founding day celebration takes place at Norwich Cathedral.
