A troubled west Norfolk academy is taking steps towards coming out of special measures, a report has said.
King's Lynn Academy was put into special measures by Ofsted after an inspection last November, when the watchdog gave the school an overall rating of inadequate.
Now, in the first of several inspections planned to track its progress, the body said 'effective action' was being taken.

Acting principal Alan Fletcher, who replaced Craig Morrison, received praise from inspectors.
They said: 'You are providing much-needed leadership which is galvanising staff and raising morale. You have the full support of your staff and the trust to make the necessary improvements.'

In May, the school joined the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust. It had previously been part of the College of West Anglia Academies Trust (CWA), but all schools in the chain moved when its founding school, the college, stepped down from the trust.
