The organisation behind a children's 'goblin' racing event in Norfolk will be sharing a special opportunity for schools at Norwich Science Festival.

Greenpower Education Trust, which organised a Formula Goblin event at Scottow Enterprise Park in June 2017, will be hosting a pit stop-style challenge for children at the festival at the Forum, which launches on Friday.

While at the festival on October 23 and 24, the trust will also be encouraging secondary schools in north Norfolk, Great Yarmouth and Breckland to apply for grants to build their own kit car.

Schools will get 50pc towards the cost of the car, which students will design and build and which can then be entered for a special race event in 2019, being organised by Greenpower Education Trust.

Poppy Gold, from the trust, said the organisation would use the festival to partner interested schools with businesses which could provide additional funding.
