A month ago it looked all doom and gloom for Canaries fans. After nine games without a win, relegation was staring them right in the face, seemingly dragging them back down to the darkest depths of the Championship.

However two consecutive victories has seen them leapfrog their rivals, now just the right side of the dreaded dotted line, which has given them a real chance of cementing their Premiership status for another season. Can they seal the job and turn dreams into reality?

With just one meagre point from a possible 27, Norwich's prospects looked bleak and it looked as though they were about to once again justify their reputation as a yo-yo club. Sitting in the relegation zone with nine fixtures still to play, it didn't look promising. The club's angst looked to be compounded further when the blue half of Manchester visited Carrow Road.

Whilst many expected the Canaries to lie down and let the likes of David Silva and Sergio Aguero walk all over them, they managed to grind out a 0-0 draw and were actually unlucky to come away with just the solitary point. That landmark result however seemed to spur the team into action as they re-found the belief that they could escape trouble.

With crucial fixtures coming up against those teams surrounding them, now was most certainly the time for a change in fortunes. First up after the City draw was West Brom at the Hawthorns on 19th March, where Robbie Brady scored the game's only goal to seal a much needed victory (their first since January 2!)

Next up was the big one: a home game against fellow strugglers Newcastle. If ever the Canaries needed to pick up the win - today was the day. The game was a terrific spectacle with both sides throwing caution to the wind and fighting for their Premier League lives. The match toed-and-froed with Norwich taking the lead on the stroke of half time through January signing, Swiss centre-half Timm Klose.

The Magpies twice came from behind to level the score at two apiece, both of their goals coming from towering Serb striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. In the dying embers of the game, when a draw - which didn't help either side - looked like the inevitable outcome, Norwich needed a hero to step up. Unbelievably that man was their Swedish left-back Martin Olsson, who fired a scintillating shot into the bottom left corner to send the fans and manager Alex Neil into delirium in sensational scenes.

The result was absolutely massive to their survival hopes as they made their way out of the relegation zone. The job is far from done however as they still have some key fixtures to come in the closing stages of the season.

Their weekend defeat at defeat at Crystal Palace, and Sunderland's to Leicester, means next Saturday's match against Sunderland is a crucial six-pointer.

The great escape is most definitely on, and it looks as though the Canaries may be singing to the tune of the Premier League again next year. One thing's for certain though: they will not go down without a fight.
