Pupils at school in Norfolk have swapped their usual curriculum for a lesson in sustainable construction.
Students from Framlingham Earl High School in Poringland, donned high-vis jackets and hard hats to visit the Clements Gate David Wilson homes housing development near their school.
Once at the development they were met by site manager Reuben Linehan who showed them how new homes are made energy efficient using state of the art construction techniques and modern materials.
Julie Wilson, assistant headteacher at Framingham Earl High School, said: 'Students from SAFE and the school council particularly enjoyed learning about the materials used in house building and how energy efficiencies can be created.
'It was interesting to visit Clements Gate, as it is located in our local community so we could consider cycle routes, footpaths and local businesses. Mr Linehan was also able to explain potential careers in the construction industry and routes into these roles.'
