According their 2013-14 accounts, these are the amounts that academies and academy trusts with schools in Norfolk paid out in staff severance payments last year.

Norfolk academies paid out more than £500,000 in staff severance payments

Academy Transformation Trust

Spent £466,000 on staff severance payments – compared to £58,000 the year before.

Of these, 26 were for more than £5,000, ranging from £5,350 to £34,342.

These were for £27,000, £13,000, £8,000, £7,000 and £6,000.

The school spent £2,000 on staff severance payments in 2013-14. It made none during the previous year.

North Norfolk Academies Trust

The trust made a single staff severance payment of £12,500 in 2013-14, compared to £4,535 the year before.

Notre Dame High School

The school paid out £31,515 in severance payments in 2013-14, compared to £11,758 in 2012-13.

The two payments in 2013-14 were for £16,385 and £13,230.

The Open Academy

The school made £31,786 in staff severance payments in 2013-14. The year before, the figure was £75,300.

Two of last year's payments were for more than £5,000 – one of £5,753 and one of £16,500.

The trust paid out £342,344 in severance payments. Three were for £25-30,000. In total, 25 were for more than £5,000.

The trust paid £92,923 in staff severance payments in 2013-14, compared to £6,500 the year before.

The highest cost £41,390. The others were for £25,700, £19,460, and £6,373.

Wymondham College

The college paid £500 in severance payments in 2013-14, compared to £11,616 the year before.

Wymondham High School

The schools made £88,524 in staff severance payment in 2013-14. It did not make any in the year before.

The highest payment was £17,000. Other were: £15,800, £14,695, £14,429, £13,600 and £13,000.
