The Town Hall became a haven of science and imagination this week as Cosmos touched down in Kings Lynn.
Cosmos is a learning program run by the Cambridge Science Centre. Its goal is to move science out of Cambridge and straight to the kids through online programs and roadshow exhibitions.
The event at Town Hall boasted a collection of hands-on science exhibitions and workshops, designed to show children first-hand how our world works.
There are also activities to help children, young people and their families understand the exciting range of careers linked to the UK's space industries.
Attractions included a gravity well in which you can find out why planets have an orbit, a motor display designed to teach about electrical currents, a camera showing infra-red images and a vacuum sealed jar to demonstrate the way in which sound and light travels through space.
All the little faces at the event ranged from delighted joy to rapt attention as they found new found appreciation for the world of science. Even some adults at the event found themselves fascinated by the exhibits.
'It's great, everybody is engaging and listening intently to what's being said,' said child minder Tracy Loughlin from Wisbech.
The event was overseen by the Cosmos Outreach Team, Jon London, Bex Szabadai, Michael Cave and Diogo Gomes. They addressed the children as equals and guided them through some of the trickier tasks with enthusiasm and dramatic flair.
'It's about engaging kids with science in a real informal and fun way' said Bex Szabadai, shortly before announcing a rainbow bracelet workshop, prompting a frenzied stampede of youngsters.
Helen Slaski, CEO of the Cambridge Science Centre, said: 'We are thrilled to be visiting King's Lynn for the very first time. We are passionate about making STEM thrilling and accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, encouraging creativity, investigation and discovery.
'In King's Lynn we are combining the best of our previous exhibitions with fantastic hands-on activities, sparking imaginations and inspiring young minds.'
Cosmos will be at Kings Lynn Town Hall until Monday, April 10, from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Admission to the fair is free.
