And much like the popular ITV television programme, variety took centre stage once more as a group of talented children performed in Corton's Got Talent 2019.

Pupils from the village's primary school lined up as a range of fun acts - including singers, dancers, a guitar player and storytellers - all impressed, as the annual event was hailed another resounding success.

Benjamin Britten Music Academy hosted this year's talent show on Saturday, June 15, with Corton Primary School headteacher Nicola Rowland, business manager Keri Cotton and teacher Jemma Dalley taking on the judging roles.

They were full of praise for all the children that took part, as 19 acts performed in front of hundreds of people at the high school in Blyford Road.

Proud parents and family members applauded the children's efforts as the show - held in association with the Friends of Corton Primary School and supported by Totally Wicked School of Dance - was split into two sections.

The youngsters from key stage one performed in the first half and the key stage two children took to the stage after the interval. There were also two performances from the after school dance club choreographed by Mrs Nicola Whall.

The winners of the key stage one section were the trio of Annabelle Jacobs, Anabelle Dunn and Darcie Green, who used skills learnt in class to perform a story entitled Whatever Next?

This year in key stage two there were joint winners, the plaudits shared between Katherine Taylor who sang 'For Good' from Wicked and a duo Millie Watson and Katie Blyth who sang 'A Million Dreams' from Greatest Showman.
