A collection of vegetable monsters created out of harvest festival donations has had a second life helping the homeless.
Families at Saxlingham Nethergate Primary School donated the autumn produce, and the school's PTA had the idea of asking children to turn them into colourful monsters to be judged at the school's annual grandparents' lunch.
Afterwards, pupils and volunteers turned them into food for homeless people.
Acting headteacher Lou Kent said: 'The thinking was 'what are we going to do with them afterwards?'.
'In this day and age, it seems that it could be a bit wasteful, so someone had the idea that they should be made into soup and taken to a soup kitchen to feed the homeless.
'The children loved making the monsters, and I think the parents liked making them as well.'
