Students at Sheringham High School had a chance to find out about jobs ranging from plumber and bricklayer, to architect and accountant, at a careers fair attended by more than 20 Norfolk businesses and organisations.
The annual event, which was organised by deputy head teacher Jayne Melhuish and careers advisor Tash Drury, aimed to give Year 9 students taking their GCSEs next year an insight into the world of work.
Among those running advice and information stands were staff from North Norfolk District Council, local police officers and RNLI representatives, with the school's 125 thirteen and 14-year-olds also given a chance to chat to staff and students from the University of East Anglia and Easton College.
Mrs Melhuish said the careers fair, which is now in its sixth year, aimed to encourage students to look at different routes into employment.
'What we try to do is to create a mix, from universities and companies offering in-house training and apprenticeships, to more vocational jobs,' she added.
