Framed and bearing plates naming the young artists three of the children were able to tour the new Wetherspoons rooms at the Troll Cart in Great Yarmouth’s Regent Road, which officially opened to the public yesterday, Tuesday.

Designs adding to the local flavour of the decor included Great Yarmouth’s historic roller coaster, a vintage troll cart, and seaside sticks of rock.

Tanya Blake, head of school at Stradbroke Primary Academy in Gorleston, said it was all the work of the after school art club lead by Heather Viner.

Having a purpose and audience for their work was an added incentive to do the best they could and an exciting opportunity for the youngsters, she said.

On the day the children were really excited, she added, and were a credit to the school opening doors for patrons and greeting everyone with big smiles.

Many were keen to show their parents and the pub was happy to arrange viewings, so families could appreciate their efforts, she added.
