A-level results 2019: Live list of results from Norfolk and Waveney

Sixth form and college students will discover more about their next steps, from university and college courses to apprenticeship or entry into the world of work.

This live list of results from schools in Norfolk and Waveney will be updated as results come in to us, appearing alphabetically. The headline figure is the percentage of A* to C grades, with figures in brackets indicating last year's results. While comparing like for like can be difficult, the comparison will give an indication of progress.

You can also search our table and interactive map of results to see how well your school or college did.

Donna Howe, head of A-levels, said: "Congratulations to all our students on their A-level successes, which have seen the large majority secure their first choice university places. Overall our pass rates have been maintained, at 98pc, with a 100pc pass rate in the majority of subjects. - City of Norwich School

% of A* to C grades - 73pc (79pc)

Jo Philpott, headteacher, said: "These excellent results, 26pc of which are the top grades of A*/A, are again testimony to the incredible hard work of our amazing students and teachers, with the support of parents and the wider CNS community. Our broad curriculum has ensured students are progressing to a wide range of courses and opportunities, including six students to Oxbridge and a further two to study medicine and veterinary science. The class of 2019 has been a life force of the school and deserve their excellent achievements."

David Pomfret, principal, said: "I am delighted with the outstanding A-level results we have achieved this year. For the second year running, we have achieved a pass rate of over 97pc, which is testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of both our students and teaching staff. In addition, the number of students achieving top grades has been outstanding, with over 76pc achieving A* to C. We couldn't be prouder of all they have achieved during their time with us and we wish them every success in their future endeavours."

- Downham Market Academy

Clare Hargraves, head of sixth form, said: "We're really pleased with the students, 40pc got a top grade and it has been the best ever grades for the Downham Market sixth form. Students are off to universities such as Leeds and London to do subjects such as theoretical physics and literature. We're really proud of their achievements and based on the provisional results we believe to be amongst the highest performing sixth form in the local area."

- East Norfolk Sixth Form College

- Fakenham Sixth Form

Stuart Rimmer, chief executive, said: "Lowestoft Sixth Form College students stand out. For the second year running we have an A-Level pass rate of 99pc. Our students are fantastic and should be proud of all their hard work. Dan Browning, headteacher, said: "I am absolutely delighted for our students having achieved such outstanding results. The number of students gaining A*/A grades has increased and 40pc achieved at least one A*/A grade. This means that again, we are one of the highest attaining non-selective schools in the country. Our progress levels were the highest in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk last year and it looks like it is even higher this year based on the provisional data. Our students and staff work extremely hard and the culture of the college is such that we expect outstanding attainment and progress every year. Our students leave with excellent results, but they also leave as confident young leaders and it is the extra-curricular programme, sporting opportunities and leadership experience that our young people enjoy that are an equally important part of their educational journey.
