It was a day of 'days' yesterday, but both Ed Balls Day and Wes Day seemingly came together when the ex-Cabinet minister tweeted a photo of himself at Carrow Road.
Yesterday marked the seventh anniversary of the day Ed Balls tweeted his own name. The simple act gained instant media attention and he became an internet phenomenon. The tweet has since received over 103,000 retweets and over 73,000 likes. April 28 has ever since been known as Ed Balls Day.
The Norwich City chairman was in attendance yesterday for the final match for Wes Hoolahan, who will be leaving the club after ten years.
Mr Balls, as is his tradition, tweeted 'Ed Balls' roughly the time he originally posted it, however this time he attached an image. The picture sees him surrounded by footballs on the Carrow Road pitch.
A perfect nod to a momentous day.
