At three years old, Elisha Nobbs must be one of the youngest pop fans around.

Not for her nursery rhymes and children's television – for Elisha is a JLS super fan and has been since she barely turned two.

So she was jumping for joy last week when JLS announced their summer gig in Norwich.

She could not contain her excitement that Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse – the quartet that make up JLS, or Jack the Lad Swing – would be coming to play Carrow Road.

But Elisha, from Eaton, has been left disappointed – unable to go and see the boy band's concert with fellow former X-Factor runner-up Olly Murs because tickets are not available to children under five years old.

It can safely be assumed that organisers of the event on June 11 did not expect fans wanting tickets so young, but Elisha's mum Kirby Self says they clearly had not met her daughter.

She said: 'She was devastated when she found out she couldn't go. We have to have their first album on in the car all the time and she knows every single word.

'This has been going on for 10 months, just after she turned two when she first heard Beat Again (the band's first number one single) and her room has been covered in JLS ever since. Most other kids her age like Peppa Pig or Thomas the Tank Engine, but for Elisha it is JLS.

'Her birthday is in December and all she wanted and for Christmas was a new JLS duvet cover, an Aston doll (after one of the band members) and the new JLS scooter. We couldn't get her the scooter but she has got everything else. It is JLS everything in her room.'

The band shot to stardom in the 2008 season of ITV's incredibly popular talent show X-Factor and, despite losing in the final to Alexandra Burke, have gone on to be hugely successful.

Four Brit awards and four MOBO awards followed their debut self-titled album reaching number one in the UK album charts in 2009 and four of their six top-10 hits have reached the much coveted top spot.

Their concert at Carrow Road is expected to sell out.

But Elisha will have to remain patient for her chance to see her heroes live in concert one day – but her mum is hoping she will be able to organise some kind of present from the boy band's manage-ment to make up for her disappointment.

Meanwhile she is trying to persuade friends and family that it really is Elisha who is the big JLS fan, and not herself.

She said: 'No-one can believe it because she is only three. They always think that it is me who is the big fan. I've had to take pictures and videos on my mobile just to prove it.

'She wore a JLS T-shirt to playgroup one day and they all thought it was me that had a crush on them or something, I had to explain that it was not me.

'To be as young as she is and like them so much, people don't believe it, but we have Sky plus and everything recorded on there is JLS, it's crazy.'
