The start of the long Easter Weekend was ushered in with a colourful frenzy of high-voltage fun as a traditional fair returned to Norwich this evening.

The annual Easter Funfair, which runs at Chapelfield Gardens until Easter Monday, brought a dizzying array of dodgems, waltzers, a helter-skelter and high-speed thrill rides.

While aromas of candyfloss and doughnuts floated across the park, less traditional crazes like the bungee trampolines were eagerly tested by children celebrating the arrival of the Bank Holidays.

The Easter Funfair is open from 11am to 10.30pm today and tomorrow, and from midday to 10pm on Easter Sunday and Monday.
