Firefighters had an early call out this morning after a small dog slipped down a bank in Overstrand.
The animal's distressed elderly owner dialled the brigade at around 2.50am after her pet fell from the slipway leading to the beach into some bramble bushes.
A crew from Cromer attended the scene and said the dog - which was reportedly blind - had fallen around five foot into the undergrowth.
They quickly retrieved the pet, which was said to be 'fine', and reunited it with its grateful owner.
