Daniel Aldridge, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Bridge Road on Tuesday.
Mr Aldridge, who lived in Ryburgh, was driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa which collided with a tree near the junction with the main A1067 Fakenham to Norwich road.
Flowers have been placed at the foot of the tree. A tribute on a bunch of carnations reads: 'Danny RIP, sorely missed, never forgotten.'
An inquest into Mr Aldridge's death is expected to open at Norwich Coroner's Court on Tuesday.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash or the way in which the car was being driven beforehand to call PC David Reed, at Swaffham roads policing, on 101.
