A person was taken to hospital after crashing into a bus in a Norfolk town.

The crash involved an empty coach and a car on George Lane in Loddon at around 3pm on Tuesday, May 8.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said 'We were called at 3.07pm to a road traffic collision involving a coach and a car.

'The road was closed for around 45 minutes and was reopened at 4.15pm. A person has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.'

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service added: 'We received a call at 3.09pm to reports of a road traffic incident involving a bus and a car in George Lane, Loddon.

'The East of England Ambulance Service Trust dispatched an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, two ambulance officers and East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene where they treated the person in the car who was unconscious on arrival but was breathing.

'The patient was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care'
