A driver died today after his car left the road and plunged into a ditch at Newtown, near Wisbech.
A driver died today after his car left the road and plunged into a ditch.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were to the junction of the B1110 and B1165 at Newtown, near Wisbech, at 7.30am.
Bledwick Road and Dowgate Road, in nearby Leverington, were closed and diversions put in place as emergency workers fought to free the driver.
The man, whi has not been named, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge but later died from his injuries.
