A cyclist remains in hospital today after a crash in Norwich yesterday.

The 20-year-old cyclist received serious facial injuries and was left in a serious but stable condition at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the crash with a silver Rover. It happened just before 4.30pm near Greens gym in Barrack Street.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said that the cyclist was conscious but still on top of the car when they arrived. Norfolk Police arrested the driver, a 24-year-old man, and he remains in custody.

Any witnesses are asked to call Sgt Andy Spall at Wymondham Road Policing on 0845 456 4567.
