HOUGHTON: A rare drawing of Sir Robert Walpole's coat of arms which is on the west façade of Houghton Hall remained unsold after it failed to reach its reserve when it came under the hammer at Sotheby's in London yesterday.

The ink drawing with watercolour wash by William Kent was re-discovered in Paris in 2001.
