Three dozen firefighters were scrambled to reports of a flat fire in Heartsease last night.
A total of six crews, from Sprowston, Carrow, Earlham, Loddon, Wroxham, Long Stratton and Aylsham were dispatched to the flats at Burleigh Towers on Munnings Road.
When crews arrived at around 8.30pm the fire had already been put out, and in less than an hour lingering smoke was cleared using a ventilation fan.
A total of 36 firefighters were on scene after initial reports but were soon stood down.
A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said 'all persons are accounted for' and no injuries have been reported.
