A party thrown by owners of a popular Indian restaurant has raised over £3,500 for charity East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).

The Downham Tandoori in Downham Market celebrated 20 years of business in the town with a 20th anniversary arty on Sunday, July 16 in the Town Hall.

Diners enjoyed a three course meal and refreshments followed by entertainment from Jonathan Ansell from G4 as well as celebrity host and Strictly Come Dancing 2009 winner, Chris Hollins.

Anwar Ali, owner of the Downham Tandoori, said: 'We wanted to mark and celebrate 20 years of business in the town and are delighted to have raised so much money for EACH at the same time.

'We are delighted that so many people joined us and an excellent evening was had by all.'
