A chemical manufacturer will be holding an emergency exercise at one of its sites in Norfolk.
Staff at Dow Chemical in King's Lynn will be practicing their on-site response to an emergency alongside the emergency services and other organisations.
The exercise will start at 10am, on Wednesday, November 1, and will last for approximately two hours within the site in North Lynn. Residents may hear the site alarms and notice extra activity in the area.
Lessons learnt will be used to help improve the emergency planning process and will be passed on to other relevant organisations.
Lindsey Roue, principal resilience officer, Norfolk County Council, said: 'The exercise at Dow is one of many emergency exercises and training sessions involving a multi-agency response organised throughout the county, which demonstrate our commitment to working together to make Norfolk safer.'
