Double amputee Duncan Slater is walking from London to north Norfolk as part of Walking With the Wounded's Walking Home for Christmas appeal.
Mr Slater, 37, from Scole near Diss, and the charity's co-founder, Ed Parker, are planning to sleep rough on and rely on the kindness of strangers to get by on the walk in order to raise awareness for the plight of homeless armed forces veterans.
The pair should reach Brandon about 2pm on Sunday, North Pickenham about 7pm, Bradenham about 8.30am on Monday, North Elmham at midday and arrive at the charity's office in Stody about 3.30pm. Mr Slater is himself an RAF veteran who lost his legs after an explosion in Afghanistan in 2009. Donations can be made at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/eddunc
Mr Slater said he wanted to encourage others to organise their own walks for the appeal.
