The history of cinema in Norfolk will go under the spotlight at an advance screening of a new documentary on Sunday.

The Final Reel will be shown at 2.30pm at the Regal Cinema at the Wymondham Ex-Services' Club, two days before its premier at Norwich's Cinema City.

The film is narrated by actor Sir John Hurt, and features an interview with former Regal Cinema manager, Les King.

Mr King, who died earlier this year, takes a lighthearted look at the gimmicks he employed to get people into the cinema, including introducing a dog's night for well-behaved pets, and leading a horse around the aisles during a matinee screening of a Western.

Tickets are £5 and £4 concession and are available from Michael Armstrong on 01953 603246 or Maureen Dodman on 01953 605593 and at Simply Cards in Wymondham.
