Sometimes it is not just the stories in newspapers which offer a fascinating glimpse of how times have changed.
We have delved into our archives to bring our readers a hint of nostalgia with some of our old pages and the companies that used to advertise in them.
1999
Before the internet was more widely accessible, the first port of call was The Yellow Pages or the services section of the newspaper.
In 1999 a number of recognisable names can be spotted including Pearsons Skip Hire. One type of business that has gone out of fashion is typing. An advert can be seen for Anne's Typing service which would type letters and reports.
1994
We have highlighted the motoring advertising section of our August 1994 edition.
New cars were being advertised at Chequered Flag, Attleborough, including the Skoda LXi and the GLXi.
The Ray Powell Group can also be seen advertising Ford and Suzuki vehicles.
1971
With the bank holiday just around the corner, Kingsbury Warehouses was advertising for readers to shop at its discount store in 1971.
Japanese motorcycle imports were increasing at the start of the 70s and C J Bowers and Son, Bury St Edmunds, was advertising a range of manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki but also British firms BSA and Triumph.
