Lauren and Sophie Chittock, 21, from Diss, were inspired to create Nuoi Foods by the limited availability of nut butter in Britain compared to abroad, and the pair were heavily influenced by foreign food culture.

Lauren said: 'We founded Nuoi Organics after discovering there was a lack of interesting nut spreads on the market and aim to revolutionise the way people eat nut butter!

'Me and my sister travelled round Vietnam, where the food culture is very social and communal. We stayed with some local families and were inspired by the culture. The name 'Nuoi' is Vietnamese for nourish, feed and nature.'

The pairs determination to grow their business has seen them working all hours of the day, in spite of their commitments to full time work and study in Norwich.

'I work in PR and do a degree in marketing so I have lots of marketing knowledge,' said Lauren. 'And my sister Sophie works in a finance job. Literally every evening, every weekend, any spare time we have we're trying to fit the business in.

'It's busy, it's hectic, but it's something we're passionate about.'

Currently, the organic foods are being produced in Lauren and Sophie's kitchen, however they are looking into leasing a kitchen or factory facilities. The twins aren't ruling out extending their produce into other areas, however currently their focus is on developing an expansive range of nut butter products to be sold at local market events.

'We've got a classic range, and a super food range with different blends of nuts and seeds, but our U.S.P is our gourmet range with more unusual flavours like carrot cake, pecan pie, choco nut,' said Lauren.

'We've got a market next week at the UEA sustainable food market, and we're trying to get our website sorted so we can sell online.'
