An application has been submitted to create a new professional control room at Diss Corn Hall.
In the next stage of its ambitious 2m regeneration plans, the hall wishes to install a new floor and access ladder into the entrance lobby to create the room. It would house projection equipment, sound and lighting systems.
The project has been able to go ahead thanks to a 50,000 prize awarded to the Corn Hall at the EDP Pride in Norfolk Awards by Norfolk County Council last year.
Over the past 12 months, the entertainment and community venue has also undergone a redecoration with new acoustic panels installed, while existing workshops have been converted into new toilets.
Future proposals for the Grade II listed building include a new entrance space, new exhibition space and a cafe and kitchen.
