A discount retailer is celebrating a successful 12 months back in Lowestoft with a birthday event this weekend.
Discount retailer QD – QualityDiscounts.com in Lowestoft will mark the occasion with a first birthday event on Saturday, November 3 as they celebrate a successful first year's trading.
As part of the celebrations 20 lucky customers, chosen at random, will each win a £10 QD voucher and there will be giveaways as well at the store on Commercial Road. There will also be the cutting of a birthday cake and a free face painter in store from 11am.
QD created 20 new jobs when it opened in Lowestoft last year. Since then, its staff have continued to develop their careers with QD, including current store manager Carla Riches who originally joined as a senior sales assistant.
She said: 'Our first year back here in Lowestoft has been fantastic. The response from customers has been phenomenal. Having a free 120-space car park makes it a very convenient shopping destination and our 'spend £10 and park all day' promotion is proving really popular too.'
