Diesel oil thieves target Needham Chalks quarry at Castle Acre, near Swaffham

More than 3,000 litres of diesel oil, copper piping, gas cylinders and a car trailer were stolen during a break-in at a quarry over the weekend.

Thieves broke into Needham Chalks' pit at Newton, near Castle Acre, between 8am on Saturday and 8am on Monday.

Police said they forced their way into the quarry compound before breaking into a metal shed on the site, from which 'numerous high-value items' were taken.
