A developer has submitted an application to extend planning permission for a restaurant development in the centre of Diss.
The Tacolneston Estate Ltd was granted plans in January 2009 for a single storey building in King's Head Yard car park with views looking over Diss Mere.
The applicant has now submitted plans to South Norfolk Council to extend the time limit of the restaurant scheme, which has not yet been developed.
The developer was also granted permission last year for four shop units along with three first floor flats at the car park off Mere Street.
The company was previously reported to be in negotiations with Italian restaurant firm Prezzo in relation to the restaurant project.
