Dereham Spiritualist Church has celebrated 40 years of service.

A celebration was held at the church in Wix’s Yard.

It featured a special service, song, re-dedication and church members also shared memories.

Members of the Jordan family whose parents first started Dereham Spiritualist Church in 1978 attended.

The church celebrates life after death and strives to provide evidence of this through mediumship.

President Melanie Grundy said: “The church has grown over the years and it was a wonderful celebration service.

“We try to be very much part of the community here and hold many different events including coffee mornings, jumble sales and raffles.”
