Dereham's junior table tennis league finished up their inaugural season with an awards ceremony in recognition of their top players.

The league was launched on March 25 to encourage children from table tennis sessions held at Dereham Leisure Centre to play in a competitive environment.

There are 13 players in the league who have played across five match days. Their final matches took place on May 20, when awards were presented to the players.

Organiser Paul Baudinet said: 'The Dereham Table Tennis League are running a number of initiatives to increase the number of table tennis players in the Dereham area and the Junior League was the first and most important one of them.

'The organisers hold a big sense of achievement and pride for getting the Junior League off the ground and to have seen our players develop their games and most importantly enjoy it from start to finish.'
