A man flagged down police officers after alledgedly being stabbed in the stomach.
The man, in his 20s, told officers he had been stabbed after they came to his aid in Quebec Street in Dereham, just before 4am on Sunday, July 25.
The man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for medical treatment and has since been discharged.
Police have released an image of a man they are looking for in connection with the incident.
