A not-for-profit organisation that brings together voluntary and community groups in Dereham is celebrating its second birthday this month.

aboutDereham is focused on making the town a better place to live and visit with projects promoting the area and its attractions, leisure activities and events.

The partnership has 31 members and chairman Mike Webb said: “Key projects such as the new town guide, new pedestrian signs showing town centre attractions and the launch of a pocket park in Wrights Walk will all make a difference to the town and how it’s viewed by residents and visitors.

“We’ve also been supporting the Dereham Cares initiative which helps our vulnerable and elderly residents who are suffering as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Over 160 volunteers have helped hundreds of residents and care workers with shopping and prescriptions.”

Members of all community groups are welcome to join and get involved, visit https://aboutdereham.org/about-us/
