A support group for sufferers of dementia and their carers is celebrating after moving into a bigger new home to accommodate its growing numbers.
Thetford and District Dementia Support Group formed in 2014 and has since seen its attendance swell, meaning it had outgrown its old premises.
After a year-long search by organisers, the group will now meet in Cloverfield Community Church in Yarrow Close. The building has a large hall, reception area and the much-needed kitchen the group was seeking to continue providing a lunch for members.
From October the group will be offering music, dance and other activities as well as its regular reminiscence sessions, Carers corner and games tables.
The group runs every Friday from 10am to 1pm and is free to attend. Email taddsgroup@hotmail.com or call 07542 866519.
