Norwich City fans were joined in a pre-match pint by Delia Smith and Carrow Road chief executive David McNally.

Ahead of Saturday's match against Sheffield Wednesday, the pair took up an invitation from supporters group Northern Canaries for a beer.

They met up for the drink in Walkley Cottage before heading to Hillsborough.

Ben East, chairman of Northern Canaries, who lives in Manchester, said, once a season, the board met up with the supporters group.

He said: 'I'd like to say how grateful we are that they do this. I have friends who are Manchester United and Manchester City fans and they could never have the opportunity to have a drink with the owners of their clubs.'

Norwich City drew the game 0-0, with the Canaries were frustrated once again in their attempt to return to winning ways.
