Motorists experienced delays on the Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft this morning (Saturday) due to a fault with the overhead traffic control lights.

It is understood that the problem started at about 9am with the centre lane out of action for two hours.

Two police vehicles were called to the scene, with one positioned either side of the bridge while the issue was resolved.
