Drivers on the A47 had faced delays this morning because of a broken down lorry.
Motorists heading between Swaffham and King's Lynn had been caught up in jams because of the vehicle, about 400 metres from the McDonald's roundabout.
Norfolk police said it got its first reports of the broken down vehicle at just after 5.50am today.
While the road was passable, there were reports of queues all the way back to Little Fransham, with delays of up to an hour.
Norfolk Recovery and Orwell Trucks went to the scene and have now cleared the obstruction.
