Entries for this year’s Cromer Soapbox Derby come from across Norfolk and from as as far afield as Nottingham and Leicester.

Race organisers are hoping for a large local entry in this 50th year of Cromer Carnival with a few entries reflecting the history of carnival.

This year's event is supported by last year's sponsors GTK 'A Volex Company', based in Basingstoke, Hampshire and Westcotec Traffic Safety Systems, based in Dereham. Both sponsors are expected to enter soapboxes into the event adding a truly international feel to the race.

Entry forms are available from CTIS Ltd, 22 Holt Road, Cromer or online at www.cromercarnival.co.uk

Racing starts at 1pm on Sunday, August 11 with three classes, 10-15 years, 16 -18 years and adult. Entries close on August 3 but late entries could be accepted on the day if they arrive for the scrutineering at 11.30am.
