Donald Pearce, 49, of the Farmhouse pub in Colman Road, Norwich, struck Zak Carr on the All near Wymondham after having insufficient sleep following an overnight flight to Stansted.
He denied causing death by dangerous driving, was convicted at a trial last month and appeared for sentence at Norwich Crown Court today.
Champion cyclist Mr Carr, 30, from Attleborough, who was set to compete in the Beijing Olympics 2008, was on his way to work in Norwich when he was fatally injured on October 17, 2005.
