Firefighters were called out after a bollard was damaged in a car crash.

A crew from Sprowston was called at 3.44pm, following the accident near Urban Haircutters, on St Williams Way in Thorpe St Andrew.

A spokesman for the service said there was a fire in the underground electrics that illuminate the bollard.

She said the fire extinguished itself after the electricity was isolated.

Nobody was hurt in the crash or the fire, and the firefighters were freed to attend other incidents at 4.22pm.
