They might be used to a bit of wildlife in the garden but a couple in Gressenhall were not a-moo-sed to see these on their lawn yesterday.

Six Friesian cows took a steer away from their field and found themselves in Gordon and Barbara Varley's back garden off Litcham Road where they took a shine to a trampoline and slide.

Rather than do battle with the cattle the couple's daughter Melissa Hosier took to social media to try and find the owner, who was eventually located.

'It turned out they had been put into a new field that morning,' she said. 'They arrived in my parents' garden at lunchtime, where they started trying to eat the trampoline.

'The owner appeared with a bucket of cow food and we managed to entice them back into their field at about 5pm.

'They left behind a lot of pats, but I am sure they will be put to good use on the garden!'
