Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a fail to stop collision in Beccles.

The incident happened yesterday at about 9.40am in Peddars Lane at the junction with Ingate.

The woman cyclist, thought to be in her 40s, was in collision with a small black hatchback-style vehicle, which drove off along Peddars Lane in the direction of Bungay.

The woman was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston by ambulance with a shoulder and arm injury.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, and was reopened at 11.13am.

Suffolk Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle leaving the scene. Officers are also appealing for and CCTV or dashcam footage.
