A cyclist kicked off a car's wing mirror and clung to the vehicle's roof rack as the driver pulled away during a road rage attack on the outskirts of Norwich.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which began when a cyclist passed a silver estate car waiting at the traffic lights on Church Lane, Eaton, at 3.40pm-4pm on January 10.

The driver, a man in his early 60s, beeped his horn at the cyclist as he believed he may not have noticed the lights were red.

The cyclist stopped and ran back to the car and shouted obscenities at the driver and tried to open the car door.

He carried on banging on the car, shouting and kicking off the wing mirror.

The cyclist managed to hold on to the roof rack as the car drove off, with the victim stopping three times over a distance of 100 yards.

The cyclist was riding a red racing bike with shopping

on the handlebars and is described as aged 30-40, about 6ft 2in, of slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing black clothing.
