A cyclist was taken to hospital with head injuries following a collision with a car in Crostwick this morning.

Two ambulances were called at 8.51am to the scene of the accident, at the junction of Rackheath Lane and North Walsham Road in the village near Spixworth, north of Norwich.

A man in his 30s was treated for a 'slight head injury' and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: 'I can confirm that the casualty has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich. No other details have come through other than that the man has suffered a slight head injury, so we suspect it's not life-threatening.'
