A cyclist has been airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University hospital with serious head injuries after a crash.
The cyclist and a motor vehicle were involved in a crash at the junction between the A145 and Sotterley Road in Willingham St Mary, near Beccles, at 5.30pm today (Tuesday).
A paramedic response car and ambulance attended but the injuries were thought to be so serious that the helicopter was called in and the cyclist airlifted to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment.
Police have closed Sotterley Road and Rectory Road to investigate the scene of the crash, and it is not yet known when the road will be reopened.
